Are you interested in who follows your friend on Instagram? Want to see who’s been following you recently?
Regardless of your reasons for wanting to know who follows that person on Instagram, there is a way to find out if you know how.
How to see who has recently followed someone on Instagram
With the current update of the Instagram app, you can’t see who has followed someone recently because the list is ranked by who knows that person the most. However, you can use third party sites like Snoopreport and IG Export to track who follows an Instagram user.
See who has recently followed someone on Instagram: this is how you do it
As mentioned above, there is no way to find out who recently follows someone on Instagram.
While you can control who follows that user by going to the Followed category of their profile, they are not listed chronologically.
While there was a time when the “Following” list was organized by who has recently followed someone, Instagram has again removed this feature and ranked the list based on who they interact with the most.
However, we need to use third party sites to check who has recently followed someone on Instagram.
The only question is how much you are willing to pay to get that juicy detail.
Free app: IGExport
If you’re eager to find out who’s been following someone (maybe your crush) on Instagram lately, but you’re not ready to pay a fortune to get a report, IGExport is the app you’re looking for.
IGExport is a Chrome extension tool that you can install in your browser to get a report on someone’s recent followers.
Get started by following these simple instructions to install and use IGExport:
Step 1: Open a new tab in Chrome browser and type “IGExport” in the address bar.
Some search results will then appear on the page.
Step 2: Click on the IGExport search result that leads to the Chrome Webstore (it is the first result in the list).
Step 3: After clicking this result, the page will reload to open IGExport in the Chrome Web Store.
Go to the right side of the page and select “Add to Chrome”.
Step 4: After clicking Add to Chrome, a pop-up will appear asking if you want to add IGExport as a Chrome extension.
Step 5: Go to the Chrome toolbar and select the Extensions button. This looks like a puzzle piece.
Step 6: Scroll through the drop-down menu until you find the IGExport plugin. Then click the pin icon to add the IGExport extension to the taskbar.
However, pinning the extension to the taskbar is just an optional step.
Step 7: Once you have pinned IGExport to your taskbar (as mentioned, this is an optional step in the process), log in to your Instagram account.
Step 8: After logging into your IG account, go to the search bar and type in the username of the person you want to follow.
Then click when their account name appears in the drop-down menu.
Step 9: After selecting a username from the list of accounts displayed, you will be on that person’s profile page.
Copy the username by highlighting and right clicking before clicking the “Copy” option.
You can also simply highlight the username and press Ctrl + C to copy it.
Step 10: Select the IGExport extension on the taskbar and paste the verified username in the box provided.
Then choose whether you want to follow the person’s followers or followers. Select “Next.
Step 11: Then select the “Export Later” button so that I Export can generate the report.
The page will then reload and display the usernames the IG user is following in chronological order. The ones you see above are the most recent.
If you want to keep the report file, click the green “Download Tracking” button to export the list to your device.
However, if you’d rather automate your account reporting without repeating these steps, choose another method below.
