How to Make a Spotify Blend Playlist With Another User

Choosing what to listen to when other people are around can be a daunting task, especially if you have different tastes in music. These are special shared playlists you can create with other partners or Spotify users who collect songs from your library. Spotify is also ditching its old family playlists and replacing them with Blends.

You can easily create it with your friends and see whose library the songs in your playlist are from. The playlist will be a combination of songs from each user’s library, especially songs saved and updated daily.

You can edit the playlist as you like and watch your friends’ music tastes change. Spotify also allows you to create a mix list of specific artists with recommended links. Here’s how to create Spotify playlists, add friends, and create playlists by artist.

How to make a mixed menu

Make sure your Spotify app is fully updated to access the Blend playlist features. Also find a friend to play these games with.

  • Go to the “Search” tab and type “interface”.
  • Click on Mixed Genres.
  • Click the “Join” button at the top.
  • Click the Suggestions button.
  • Share anywhere by message, email, copy or send a link to others.
  • Once you’ve added them to Blend, a playlist will appear in your library.

You can add more people to your mix list if you want.

  • Click the Add button with the person with the plus sign in the playlist you just created.
  • Click Invite More.
  • Send an invitation link to another user.

Once added, the music will be added to the playlist. You can add up to 10 people to your playlist. Click the moving circle icon at the top of the playlist to view the playlist’s “history”. This will give you an idea of how similar your taste in music is to the music you like. You can also share it on social media by clicking on the three-dot icon and selecting Share.

Create mixtape playlists with artists

One of the fun things about this mix playlist is that you can mix any artist. This is how you can see how similar your music library is to your favorite artists!

Spotify has artist blog posts with featured links like Charli XCX and BTS, but you can find them on Spotify’s artist page. Once you have found the link, do the following.

  • Click the link to open the invite in Spotify.
  • Click Go to Mix.
  • A mix playlist with the artist will open.
  • Playlists can be found under Playlists.

You can remove the random profile playlist from your profile at any time by clicking the Like button.

How to exit the mix menu

If for any reason you don’t want to join a Blend playlist or want to remove it from your profile, you can leave Blend at any time.

To do this, go to the playlist you want to split, click the three dots at the bottom of the playlist, and then click Shuffle.

The playlist will then be removed from your profile and will not be available until you follow the suggested link again.

Share with friends using a mix playlist

This playlist is a great way to add to your friend’s music library. Especially since it is updated daily to reflect changing listening habits. This lets the mix playlist know what kind of music you have, so it’s easy to choose which songs to listen to together.

And even if they don’t play the same songs, the songs you choose from each library are the same. A mixed playlist can satisfy even the discerning music listener when listening to music with friends.
