However, if you want, you can now create a public profile that allows others to find you in a search. Learn what a public profile is and how to create one in the Snapchat app.
What is a Snapchat Public Profile?
The standard use of Snapchat is to invite a few close friends and share text and media content only with those friends.
However, social media platforms like Instagram provide content creators with opportunities to connect with fans, showcase their creativity, and share content with tools like Snapchat’s Lens Studio.
Snapchat’s Public Profile is a new feature that makes it easier for Snapchatters to find you. You can also share your public profile on other platforms to create a space where people can view and interact with your Snapchat content.
The most important feature of public accounts is the presence of a separate list of followers and friends. However, unlike Twitter, you won’t be notified when new followers are added.
The role of public profile headers is to publish content such as lenses and stories. You can highlight your unique content so other Snapchatters can recognize you from your work.
Public Snapchat Profile Eligibility Requirements
As soon as the first round of testing was over, the company opened up its public profiles to all Snapchatters as long as they met certain requirements.
- User must be 18 years or older.
- The account must be at least 24 hours old.
- It should be followed by the rules of society.

Create a public profile on Snapchat
Creating a public profile on Snapchat is quick and easy.
- Open Snapchat.
- Select Bitmoji (profile icon) from the camera screen at the top left of the screen or tap the story icon.
- Scroll down and find the Public Profile section under the Spotlight and SnapMap sections.
- Select Create Public Profile.
Follow the instructions to create a public profile of your choice.
To change your profile later:
- Select the Bitmoji or Story icon.
- Choose your public profile card.
- Select Edit Profile.
Changes to your profile will take effect immediately upon completion.
Note: We had trouble finding the section to create a public profile on Android devices. Your account met the eligibility criteria, but your permit is not available. Logging into the Snapchat app on iOS fixed the problem.

Know your public profile
The purpose of a public profile is to showcase and showcase your content and brand, so it’s a good idea to cover all your bases when creating a profile.

There are so many options in the public profile of your page. Selecting the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen brings up a settings page with two main sections.

Delete your public profile
If you decide that a public profile on Snapchat isn’t right for you, deleting your profile is no problem. This withdrawal is final and irrevocable.
To remove your public profile:
- Open Snapchat from the camera screen.
- Select Bitmoji.
- Scroll down to your public profile.
- Choose your public profile.
- Select the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Select Delete Public Profile, then read the warning and confirm.
If you want to create a new public profile later, you can. However, the number of previous subscriptions held cannot be restored. So make sure you really want it!
